the better documents are in the trees
along the rinds of the core
in the twisted arms
posing for vanity
of curious eyes
though the mist hovering
round the base of the willows,
as wasps do over sweet food,
constricts my angry ignorance
of what I see
in the trees
and also what I see
in the leaves
